Change control is an element of configuration management, and change management is a process to ensure change control, so I would go with B as well.

Configuration management isn't just limited to product characteristics. The processes and tools used used to produce products are also subject to configuration control. I suppose you could call those "products" in their own sense, but they are very distinct from the product deliverables/produduct.

Change management and configuration management are part of integration management and both deal with all the changes that can happen within the project or the product. Change management relates to changes related to the plan, process, and baselines, while configuration management deals with changes related to the product scope

The two are related in somehow and one is not a subset of the remaining so my answer is D.

Both are concerned with how the project is managed and what is produced (4.6.2.2). Change management therefor deals with changing the configuration (of the project and the product). Change management needs configuration management but not vice versa, hence the former can be seen as part of the latter.

Also see 5.6.1.1 describing the configuration mgmt plan which describes those items that require formal change control.

The systems for both are interlinked and part of the PMIS.
