I've read this Discussions PM Central for quite a while and I realize that a significant number of the questions are repeated over time. Now they're all valid questions and I see nothing wrong with asking them over or in a different way, looking for more meaning. No complaints at all, but several months ago I inquired into whether it would be useful to pull together a number of these questions per Subject Matter, and their answers into a concise PMI book, a pamphlet, a PDF, a workbook maybe that our members could have readily at hand along with the wisdom of years of experience. Ha hopefully! I even volunteered to work on it but have yet to hear. I'd like your input on the idea. Thank you. Saving Changes...
Interesting idea - that assumes folks will take the time to download & read it, but consolidating this info would likely help some folks.
The only risk with a one-time activity is that answers might evolve over time as things change - a Wiki would be another way to tackle this which would be more dynamic.

The search capability is certainly aided by well-written titles, but it does take searching prior to posting to find relatable content. It can be an arduous task though, and realistically, can be a lot to ask for our members.
You'll notice many newer sites will suggest similar topics as you begin to formulate your content title. This type of feature could be helpful here. Having some type of AI embedded in the site to push relevant content to the individual is the simplest and most beneficial path forward, at least from my perspective. (are you looking for this, you may be interested in these recent posts, others similar to your profile are looking at, etc.)
I love the thought of capturing some of these amazing threads and information into something available and consolidated for others to enjoy. There is a lot of great stuff here that no one sees. Look forward to some of these areas of opportunity remedied as part of the redesign. Saving Changes...

To reach a compilation of knowledge acquired through projectmanagement.com, all questions should be classified by theme, and, As Kiron said, the implementation of a Wiki would be appropriate to edit and update content across time. Saving Changes...

My thoughts were to take a question(s) that we agree on are standard, that come up a lot. We then place all the answers to that question under it, whether a yr's worth or 5 yrs, removing the redundant answers until we have an agreed upon set of responses that are solid. And yes we can categorize and or classify by subject/theme. Saving Changes...

I do not think it is a practical idea. Most questions are situational questions, the answers and the choice of using the answers are depended on the context where the askers and the respondents work in and their experience. For situational questions, there will be no right or wrong answers. If related to knowledge in PMBok, then the content should be revised to add more text to explain concepts in an easy understandable manner to help it's readers. For contents of this forum, I think it will be better if the site automatically recommends the readers the answers that many people agree right after the question. Anyway, it is wonderfull to have the pamphlet if it publish. Saving Changes...
