Building upon a previous question about how "hands-on" a PM should be, here's another one: How Involved Should Management Be in Agile Teams?
This question comes from the notion that in the Agile framework (especially in Scrum), leaders should be relatively hands-off (and yet, servant leaders).
How involved should management be, aside from the obvious of helping unblock obstacles and provide opportunities and free up necessary resources? Saving Changes...
Management's role is critical to ensure successful delivery by creating an environment which encourages teams to do their best. Beyond impediment removal and providing the necessary resources it is also about:
1. Only taking on as much work at one time as teams can efficiently and effectively deliver.
2. Championing a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement
3. Committing to creating a psychologically safe organization
