When you write PM blog articles what are 3 or 4 things you keep in mind, or abide by, to produce a well written, cohesive, and interesting topic? What's your blog writing methodology? Do you focus on the audience, grabbing the attention of the reader, the writing style, literary license? Or, do you focus on PM jargon, keywords, traditional writing standards? Or is the emphasis more on conversation style writing? I'd be keen to hear about your blog writing format and techniques. Saving Changes...

Good question Marcus.
The first and foremost important thing while writing a blog for me is to have engaging content. Second is that the blog should be preferably in a lucid style that readers can easily understand and third is that either give examples or explain with an analogy.

It's been a while, and I need to get back into it. What I think I tried to do was keep it conversational and examine practical application, but some topics didn't always lend themselves to that approach, and I may not have been as successful at it as I thought I was. Looking back, my writing style did change, and fluctuate, over time. I'm not sure how much of that was intentional. Saving Changes...

Good topic, Marcus. It might sound obvious, but I write about topics that I find interesting and that can be directly or indirectly linked to project management. For instance, I wrote a post about the phasing out of Airbus A380 or how angel investing intersects with project management techniques and tools.
I write in a clear and direct manner, partly because I want to keep it simple and partly because English is not my main language, yet I prefer to use this language in order to reach a wider audience.
It is quite addictive. As Kiron mentions, finding a topic does not always come easy. As soon as somethign crosses your mind, or you read about something that inspires you, note it down and start thinking on how you will write it down in the blog. Saving Changes...
