Hello,

I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy.

I just received my PMP certification.

I'm looking into getting a masters degree. I am wondering if anyone can share a bit about their experience in a Masters of Science in Project Management.

1. For you, what was the value add of the MSPM?
2. If you could go back, would you do it again?
3. Would you do it again, over an MBA?
4. Why did you decide to pursue a MSPM?

Any insights and advice would be helpful.

Hi Mike,
Congrats on your legendary achievement. The preference of what Master's degree to do will depend on your charted career path.
I will personally prefer you go in for an MBA and not a MSPM.
The broadness of an MBA plus your PMP certification will greatly broader your scope as compared to a PM focused MSPM and PMP

Congratulations, Mike!

The question I think you need to ask is what the advanced degree will do for you and what you want to do with it. For example, if you just need a master's to advance / get a raise in your current organization an MPM might due the trick.

If you want to potentially go into senior management at an organization or have that option, the MBA is the best bet.
