Hi everyone, I am an IT Project Manager, who has been working in project management capacity since my time in the military. So I roughly have over 15 years of PM experience. I am looking to take the PMP exam, but wanted to see if I can get some assistance on how to study and pass the exam? Saving Changes...
From there, you have many options on how to prepare for the exam. Some folks prefer to go with a live prep course whereas others rely on self-study guides and/or practice exam "banks" solely.
It really depends on your learning style.
My suggestion would be to take a good quality practice exam to understand how much of a gap there is between your current knowledge and what is needed and then decide on a learning path taking your time and financial constraints into consideration.
I'm currently taking a 35 hour self-paced course on the exam and so far, it's been very helpful. I'm also dusting off my old school skill with flash cards and creating those for all of the terms we're studying.
I agree with Kiron; regardless of your study preferences, a good quality practice exam is a must.
