I am a PMP and RMP certified personnel with more than 5 years of work exp. Now I would like go for MBA in strategic Mgmt. How beneficial would be this decision? Also how useful will be my certification and exp. in getting into a decent college in USA with a GMAT score.

It depends on your career path so you are the best person to answer this question:

1) Where you want to be in 5 years ?
2) What are your career goals ?
3) Cost Benefit for the Certification or Degree ?

I did write an article on this topic which I can share with you if you want and I am speaking about the same issue in the PMO Impact Summit this coming October.

Abhiskek,

follow Rami‘s advice.

Some thoughts in addition:

How does a MBA help you create a USP? How many happy MBAs do you know?

Have you looked to other countries to study? E.g. public universities are free of tuition in Germany.

Have you considered to work in the strategy field before deciding to study it? (e.g. volunteering at a NGO board, applying for a job at big consultancies, learning about it thru free online resources, e.g. brightline coursera course)

Have you looked at BA certification to extend your view on companies?

Do you have strategy for your own professional life?
