I would suggest to PMI to create an PMP Now, that will be a volunteer on line chat where an active PM answers doubts. The time PM act as volunteer (logon time) should be converted as earned PDUs. Wha

At his/her free time, a PMP log in at a PMP chat and waits for any doubts for others PMP ou even PMP students. This on-line time was reverted to volunteer PMP as earned PDUs

Wow.... what a good idea... But will need very strict rules, if not the abuse will be enormous

1:1 mentoring is something which has been suggested by a number of folks to the community moderators here. While it isn't possible within the technical limitations of the current platform, it might be added as part of their refresh of the projectmanagement.com infrastructure.

Regarding PDUs:
Share Knowledge
Others can benefit from your experience and knowledge. Keep track of the time you spend mentoring and teaching and claim it towards re-certification.

I don't know if they would count less than 15 minute interactions, but if mentoring over the phone counts, mentoring over chat shouldn't be an issue.

This is a good idea for these temps of Pandemic, where a large quantity of people is performing telework.

This is a great idea! Globally we are all working virtually and can use a “ask a PM corner” to act as those water cooler moments we would have had in the face to face working environments. It’ll be great to create the constructs for giving back PDUs in this format!

As Kiron has mentioned, this has been something that has been suggested and I can imagine that it's on a list somewhere for future development.

Could it be an idea to message someone that you think might be able to help on here and see if they can help with some advice/informal mentoring?

I know that I have helped others in the past who have reached out and asked questions on an informal basis.
