Now I'm really confused!
Officially, A PMI Chapter (Memphis), on the page: https://pmimemphis.org/Education-ATP, about ATP Instructors says: "In order to continue to provide this service, PMI Memphis must certify its ATP program and operate within the guidelines required of all PMI-certified ATP programs. Please note that effective January 2021, PMI (Global) will only recognize PMI-certified ATP programs as authorized to teach PMP Prep." I'm not sure this is true.
Then they conclude with: "January 2021 - PMI requires that all PMP certification prep be taught ONLY BY PMI-CERTIFIED ATP organizations." I'm not sure this is true.
Maybe, this is not true for Independent Schools only.
In the PMP Handbook it continue to be allowed to teach PMP-Prep in many ways, included point D: "D - Training companies or consultant (e.g. Training Schools) - exactly what I'm now (see www.pmtsi.com).
Please, someone of PMI can clarify this important topic, for many independent schools.

As far as I understood earlier, PMI will still consider courses and PDU’s via training from organizations that are non-ATP but acceptance of those PDUs will be subject to review from PMI unlike those coming from ATP’s which they will automatically be accepted. Saving Changes...

#Rami, thank you for your confirmation of what I also undestood.
We hope that PMI will confirm and maintain this process, as, in reality, it is clearly stated in the current PMP Handbook.

You’re welcome Vito. We shall wait and see how things will shape up.
Hi, Chapters must become an ATP if they want to provide PMP prep training, or partner with an ATP to deliver the PMP Exam prep. We encourage chapters to partner with an ATP to provide members PMP prep training.
The network is not closed so non-ATPs can offer PMP prep training although the benefit of joining the ATP program is to receive the licensed content, instructor training and channel marketing.

How can someone become ATP instructor for PMP without becoming an ATP?

Hi,
there are many ATPs that work globally and provide mainly virtual classes nowadays. These use ATP trainers working from anywhere.
You may approach one of them, and see if they can help you to get an instructor training and authorization. They might do it if you work for them.

Thanks Thomas,
It seems interesting be able to access the official PMP Instructor qualification.
Please, can you detail what you mean with "They might do it if you work for them" ?
I'm thinking t an ATP "umbrella" to let me become PMP Instructor paying PMI Fee on my own, whit no more obligations.
We can cooperate in any way, not in force of the ATP Program.
The only goal is to be able to buy the official PMI Materials as an official PMP Instructor and have independent classes.
Do you think it is reasonable?
Thanks

as far as I understand in order to attend an ATP instructor class for PMP, you have to be signed up by an ATP. Why would they do it for you?
If you offer PMP prep courses with PMI materials you also need to pay a fee for each student to PMI. And students need to apply thru PMI for your class. No independence.

Thomas, I agree with you. It is clear that I pay PMI Fee for may training and for any course material I need for my students, directly to PMI. Independently, I mean acquiring directly from PMI, without administrative disturb for the ATP that guess me. Thanks for your help. Regards. Vito
