Are there any PMPs actively in the aviation (operator) industry? I am looking for some ideas on how to best incorporate PMI standards in my area.

I work for a small FAR125 operator. I handle procurement, negotiations, part purchasing, part repair management, landing gear management, inventory, stock room, shipping and receiving, hazmat, and some typical admin/office functions. We are small and I wear many hats. Trying to incorporate some standards in my company. (Document sharing, communications, policy/procedure etc). Anyone with experience in this area would be helpful to me with ideas, suggestions, thoughts etc. thank you. Saving Changes...
I work primarily on the Part 25 side but have worked closely with operators many times. I have found that the basic PMI framework applies the same both to the operator and OEM side, and with some terminology differences is quite common across many industries.
The PMBOK really isn't a standard so much as a collection of knowledge organized by types of activities performed throughout projects. As with any framework, it should always be tailored to your needs. In general, I would prioritize what aspects of your business you want to standardize and tackle your issues in bite sized chunks.
I personally have applied generally accepted project management practices to many aspects of aviation businesses including product design, change management, back office processes and tools, training development, testing, materials development, supplier management, and various other areas of the value chain. The PM principles really don't change. What changes is how you need to tailor them. Saving Changes...
