Hi Pandurang,
congratulations on your determination to get certified....
Simply add up to the knowledge and exploit your exam experience to your favor... You could add Rita Mulcahy to your study materials...
Wishing you the best

Don’t get discouraged, hopefully you will make it in your second attempt.

PM PrepCast is a good resource and also I suggest reading Rita Mulcahy exam prep book if you didn’t already. Try to concentrate in solving simulation exams on areas where you scored lower and analyze your answers.

Good Luck with your second attempt.

Hello There, I did failed on my first attempt few days back, I felt pretty confident and confortable based on my MOCK Test 180 questions with PMtraining with score 74-80 but unfortunately in the real exam i FAILED..
what else do you consider will put me in the right direction to pass the exam in the next attempt? I´m afraid studying material that will not give any value will be only time consuming and more frustration. (I Read PMBOK 7th, Agile Guide and MOCKs on PM training and some Your tube Test questions)

Hi Pandurang,

Congratulations for not giving up.

I would suggest the below books/Topics/Items,

1. PMBOK ( Take a hard copy , Read line by line and understand flow and approach. Mark all Key lines in MAKER)
2. Rita Mulcahy’s PMP Exam Prep book,
3. PM PrepCast
4. IITO (All input , T&T , Output)
5. All Formulas
6. While Studing , Create your own notes. This is help you to refresh in the last week of the exam.

Approach:
1. After complete all books.
2. Try to take more than 3000 questions (lot of question are available in internet)
3. Initial take 50 questions continuously. Later stage take 170 questions continuously without any break.
4. Identify the weak area topics and read the relevant topics again – See YouTube videos.
5. If you are consistently score more than 90% in the model 170 questions. YOU ARE READY FOR EXAM.

Don’t take long time. Just take 3 months target and achieve the goal.

Let me know if any more details required.

Wish you very all the best.

My request is to spend some time to understand the professional ethics of project managers. All your answers must be in alignment to it. So be aware of it, and self check whether your answer is in agreement to it, before choosing the right answer.

Rita Mulcahy's exam prep is a good option to get prepared. Check it on this link: https://rmcls.com/ and look for the preparation books and simulator...

I hope you're doing well in your studies! I had also failed my first attempt, but just passed my 2nd attempt yesterday. I used the PM Prepcast Exam Simulator, which was excellent. I may be the only person on the planet that did not like Rita Mulcahy's book, but I did not find it useful in my studies. I found "Head First PMP" as a resource and found it extremely helpful - it teaches the topics in a different way and has a lot of workbook questions (not exam-type questions, but refreshers, to ensure you grasp the concepts).

Hope that helps, and good luck to you!

Hi Sheri,

I failed my first attempt, and plan to take my second attempt in a few weeks. I have used Heads First and PM Prepcast so far in my study plan. Anything else you would suggest prior to the test?
