ITIL is about Service management and Service Delivery. If you are a certified PM and working as such then ITIL cert is not probably of much value. However a good understanding of ITIL and what it entails will prove very useful if working in projects delivering IT infrastructure. Probably the key are of interest to a PM is the change control processes in ITIL. There are a few good free resources on the basics of ITIL about on the net. Realtime Publishers have one I got a while back and a group here in Brisbane, Art of Service http://theartofservice.com/, have a good free give away if you subscribe to the mailing list. The content is very useful. Read it and you will have a good heads up on ITIL. Just be aware except for some organisations that are pretty switched on most places are still using ITIL v2 not the current v3
Best of luck with learning about ITIL

Here's the official ITIL site which provides more information: http://www.itil-officialsite.com/home/home.asp. If you are interested in ITIL start with the v3 Foundation certificate and then see whether you wish to continue. Saving Changes...
