Hello fellow PM's, I am in the process of compiling PM learnings from experts like yourselves from different industries and having extensive Project Management experience. I would be grateful if honorable professionals like you can share "one" very important learning you gained from failed or underperforming projects in as brief and concise way possible. Please feel free to add in strategies to avoid such mistakes and share your valuable project success mantra. Thank you

identification of right stakeholders at customer side --this is required that we identify right person who will be key decision maker at customer side and who are part of execution team ,then you can plan your moves accordingly .its better to entertain key stakeholder only ,not the whole customer team .

Failure to prepare a solid risk management plan identifying potential risks and benefits and detailing suitable responses. Without a plan in place you're forever in reactive mode putting out one fire as another one ignites. Its good to be busy but this type of busy is very inefficient and stressful.
