I am watching the on demand webinars to build my PDU hours for the CAPM. There are 3 videos so far that are appearing under the 'self reported PDU's', but I'd like to have the certificate for watching them. I've been printing them as I complete the videos. Will having these show up as self reporting be an issue down the line, or are they fine as they are.
Greetings David. Interesting that webinars you've watched on projectmanagement.com are not appearing as auto-reporting. Do you have any that are under auto-reporting?
I think as long as you have a PMI.org account, which is linked to your account here, AND you watch the webinars all the way through, it should be auto-reporting...
Even so, I don't think it would hurt to save a pdf of the cert, just in case. I don't know if the transcript ever gets purged here.

Hello Ethan!
Yes, I have about 6/9 that are auto reporting. The ones that are not say ‘watched 49/59 minutes’, however I did watch all of it. There is an option to say ‘I watched all of it’, which I’ve done, but it doesn’t give me an option to print the certificate.
I’m printing all the certificates mostly to motivate myself to keep going, but also if there is a purge or something doesn’t transfer, I’ll have the printed copy.
Thanks Ethan!

Sometimes there is a system glitch that will show that the webinar is not completed. Contact customer service or maybe Heather will chime in and be able to help you with this on Monday.

Hi David - PDUs on ProjectManagmement.com are for current certification holders in order to maintain their certification. PDUs earned cannot be used towards application requirements for certifications. The PDUs are being auto-reported, however, you do not have a current certification therefore the PDUs are being rejected.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out.

Thanks for your response Heather! That is very disheartening as I've been meticulously watching these webinars and recording the hours I log, and will finish the 23 I thought would be required, tomorrow.

I was told by my mentor that the webinars count toward the PMP Examination Education Contact hours. Is that not true?

As far as I am aware, webinars PDUs qualify towards PMP Renewal but not for the actual exam required contact hours for application.

Hmmm... I'm not so sure about that, Rami. I was pleasantly surprised when I applied for my PMI-ACP. It showed me as having the 21 education contact hours. I chalked it up to pm.com webinars I had previously taken. Perhaps Heather can confirm?
(The PMI-ACP Handbook indicates that self-directed doesn't count and gives the example of watching instructional videos. Does that mean live webinars are OK but not on-demand?)

Well, lucky you Stephane, but if you were audited, things wouldn't have gone as smooth I suspect.
I am almost certain that you need to take a course or formal training to qualify as contact hours unless things recently changed.
