How effective is using McKinsey 7S framework?

Would like to know if you have come across any problems using McKinsey 7S framework? How effective is it for strategic planning?

Just to comment about my compromise with this topic and as an example I am using it in the practice time ago I wrote an article that was published by the PMI and the IIBA as "best practice" in their official publications and was cited by other and translated to various languages. Adding to add I use it when I teach in Universities and some courses related to BRM/business analsysis.

You are welcome. I made the reference in my comments just trying to show I am using it and several companies in different countries are using it by implementing the process I wrote in the article.
