Hi ,

I want to calulate schedule variance for my project , the formulae goes like this ---- Schedule Variance = (Actual Duration- Planned Duration)/Planned Duration

Now please let me know how to get Actual duration and planed duration values from MPP (MS project ).

Hi Anon,

Actual Duration and Remaining Duration (I take it that’s what you mean by forecast Duration) are values that can be found by inserting fields (columns) of the same name in MS Project.

You can then export those values into Excel and perform your calculations there, or customise a spare number field with your formula to achieve the same result.
