Hi everyone! I've decided to begin my PM journey recently, and have started my process of studying for the CAPM. I bought the book CAPM Exam Prep, Fourth Edition (by Rita Mulcahy), as it seems to have really great reviews. Has anyone had experience with this book?

Also, I have just found out I need to get 23 hours of formal PM education. I'm considering using Grey Campus, as it seems to be highly rated. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hi Adam! In December of 2019 I received my CAPM certification and I can tell you that you are headed in the right direction to expand your skill set in project management. I've heard great things about the CAPM Exam prep but I just stuck with the PMBOK. Also, I took the "Project Management Basics Online" offered by PMI and found it really informational!

Helpful hint for the test: Make sure you are well versed in the processes as well as the ITTO's - that seemed to make up a large portion of the questions.

Hope this helps and good luck!!

Hi Channez,

Thank you for your reply! After some further research, I pretty much settled on taking the Project Management Basics Online course offered by PMI, so it's nice to hear that you took it and it worked out well for you.

Thank you for the hint :) I'm just getting started in my journey here but I appreciate all the help I can get. Here's hoping our careers cross paths one day!

There are some good courses on Udemy. Check if there are any courses for Joseph Phillips. His courses are solid. Good Luck !

Hi Rami,

I think I'm going to go with the basics course offered by PMI, but thanks for the tip! Will keep him in mind for the future.
