Hi pmi family. This will be the first of many questions to the community as I look forward to engaging you all.

I've been in project management for the past 4 years having recently cemented my experience with PMI-ACP & CSM certs. I feel very knowledgeable in this field having received much recognition throughout my career with my company while managing remote teams successfully pre & post pandemic with all of the challenges experienced with osmotic communication & colocation. After receiving my certs I asked myself a few ?'s that I would imagine most people feel after obtaining a certification.

Whats next, should I obtain another cert, maybe PgMP or PfMP? (btw I love learning so I will probably go for one or both certs in 2021)

What career opportunities are there in the job market for certified professionals in my field?

How valuable are obtaining certifications to professionals career development?

Is program & portfolio management the applicable steps in this career ladder?

I've done a ton of research none of which have brought me to a clear understanding. The overall theme or pre-req that generated all of theses thoughts are...... where do I see myself in 6months - 1year & 1-2 years for my career growth?

Thank you in advance. I'm interested in any feedback you can offer.

What do YOU want to do in the near and long term? What types of activities or roles do you wish to hold? Until you answer those questions, any certification or credential may or may not fit your needs...
