If you had to guess what 2011 will bring for project management, what would you say? I think that in the UK we won't get Chartered Project Management Status organised, but we will see more green projects. What will 2011 have in store for project management where you are? Saving Changes...
I work in the SME (Small to Medium Enterprise) sector for a CRM vendor. We are seeing a need to prove our professionalism by implementing our projects with a proven and documented PM methodology. In the past this hasn't really been the case in this domain.
I see this as a good thing as it will ensure a consistently higher quality of delivery.
In fact Microsoft have developed their own Methodology, called MS SureStep, based on PMP principles, but specific to Microsoft rollouts.
