I'm leaning towards (a). Should (a) be the answer to the following question?

After project closure but during the warranty period, the project manager wants to determine whether customer is satisfied with the project's outcome. How can the project manager measure this?

a) Through evaluation of the project deliverables and review of customer feedback
b) By conducting lessons learned sessions with the customer
c) Via additional requests for services from the same customer
d) By auditing project success

I would tend towards d)

The question is "whether customer is satisfied with the project's outcome" In my mind project outcome is more than the project deliverable and includes quality, cost and time considerations. An audit should look at all performance measures; deliverable as well as achieving cost and time constraints and quality objectives (customer satisfaction)..

In my real practice, it will be determined throughout the " Customer feed back" check list as the official document.

The check list will be delivered to customer for filling up their satisfaction level regarding the specific items like:

- Scope
-Time
-Cost
-Quality
- Communication
-Corporation
-Change request

Perception = reality so I'd feel the short term answer is "a" with the longer term proof being "c".

I go with option "a" since option "c" can occur - in case it does - at a later stage, thus not useful to capture feedback on current project.

In my experience, it will be option "a". Currently in my organization we are going through an agile transformation journey. Hence delivering in smaller iterations workable /testable solution to the customer with frequent customer Demos, constant stakeholder engagement, transparent communication with status updates, transparent have helped us aligning with customer requirements. Eventually, this complete cycle is instrumental in evaluating deliverables and continuous improvement through customer feedback.
