Even though I'm a very active reader here I wasn't a very active contributor. At the end of this year, I decided to change it and start contributing more.
Since it is almost a new year time, I'd like to wish a happy New year to everybody here and ask you to reflect with me on the positive parts of 2020. And what can be more positive than achievements?
And what would you like to achieve in 2021 and if any help needed to do that. Who knows, maybe there is somebody here who will read about it and will be able to help. Saving Changes...
1. I'm very proud of myself that I dared to move during the covid time to Toronto, and this was the best that happened to me this year.
2. I expanded my horizons and presented in the USA, UAE, taught in Somalia and hope to keep travelling worldwide at least virtually next year.
3. Became an International Correspondent in PM Global Journal
4. Started my own business - Time Be Team
One of my ambitious plans for 2021 is to write about these fantastic projects https://www.pmi.org/most-influential-proje...y-region/canada or interview the project managers who led these projects. The help I need is to be introduced to these people since I don't know who they are.
Looking forward to reading about your plans and achievements. Saving Changes...
yes, contributing more, collaborating more and writing more, since i'm not English native speaker, writer. One thing is expressing thoughts in the mother tongue other on a foreign language. On 2021 i intend to write more often (blog) in Portuguese, English and also in French. Appreciate help from anyone who could proofread my writing.

Tiago, I understand your pain. I'm not a native speaker either and need a proofread all the time. Is your blog on this platform? I wanted to start my blog here, submitted the forms but nobody got back to me

Thanks for posing the question, Aina. I'm fairly new to PMI but am delighted to have found a pool of professionals as passionate as I am about project management and process in general. I passed my PMP and my PBA this month and started my BS so I'm feeling pretty positive about myself and my future despite being a late bloomer. I'm a sponge at this point and taking everything in and hopefully, next year will have something of value to contribute. Until then I will enjoy the conversations, continue to grow my skills, and provide feedback. Thank you for providing those links! Saving Changes...

Thanks for sharing Aina. Utilizing my project management skillset 'for good' in the non-corporate sector has been my most significant achievement in 2020. Something i look forward to doing even more in 2021. Saving Changes...

Aina,
I had a good year, despite the limitations, but it also brought opportunities like
- being able to speak at 30 webinars, virtual but global
- move my f2f mentorships virtual, maintain others already virtual
- listen to many innovative ideas, meet many excellent thinkers
- staying healthy
BTW, I am not so much interested in achievements, they and 'hard work' are beliefs in some cultures, like US, China, Japan parts of Europe, but are not so much a priority in other cultures like Latin America, southern Europe, India.
The way to reach something is also important, to be good in how you do things (ethical, relationship-based, sustainable). I subscribe to 'Panta Rhei' which means everything is in flow, it is important that you swim right now, not so much which shore to reach.

Thomas,
30 webinars ina year - that's impressive! I also speak at webinars, so I know what a hard job is behind the scene.
I've never heard about Panta Rhei. Thanks for sharing!
