Hm... That does sound excessive to me. I'm doing mine in Feb as of now. I will make sure to let you know how that goes.

Is there a way to send a formal complaint? Maybe they are look into the case?

Oh and congrats on your exam!

I feel your pain. Passed PMP on 12/30/20, but the exam process was extremely unpleasant. I was forced to use my laptop monitor because my original plan to use my laptop camera and external monitor was unacceptable. I wear trifocals and I need the large monitor placed at a precise distance for optimal viewing. I have a natural habit of placing my index finger across my upper lip, especially when thinking/contemplating, but this was apparently not allowed. I also have a habit of reading aloud - especially when trying to focus - this was also not acceptable. I also like to jot things down on paper - also not allowed. The whiteboard is a waste of time. Thankfully the math/critical path questions were in the end few and fairly simple/straightforward. Glad it's behind me before the 2021 changes, which on first glance look very positive.

Congrats Paula and Anjankumar.
I am taking the new exam on 4th January. I have noted certain requirements for the online proctored exam including additional monitors being disallowed etc but it would be good if there are other stipulations to have these listed by PMI and not dictated by the proctors on the day. I also read outloud - you need to in order to understand some of the questions, right?

I started reading my questions as the test started but the proctor interrupted me on the first or second question and said I cannot read the question. Which is understandable if it was a centre based test as people may get disturbed due to reading. You won't believe, but after this warning I started slowly moving my lips to read but the proctor warned me again saying I can't move my lips. This rules are ridiculous. Plus these rules are not mentioned on PMI website. I just reviewed the PMI rules and was not aware of the additional rules by Pearson.

Congratulations Anjankumar..

I too faced problem buts its different. I took water before exam. After 1hr of exam started, I have to go washroom(due to cold atmoshphere) but they didn't allowed as it was against there rule(they said). So I got break of 10 mints after 89 questions attempted. but again I got problem when 30 questions were left. I couldn't focus on questions. But anyhow I passed. So we have to suggest not to drink more water who are planning to attend PMP exam.

my struggle was very different. the proctor kept on interrupting me for small things. I was frustrated and even offered to show her my entire room but she kept on interrupting me for things like: Why are your lips moving? why are you turning your head, look in the middle of the screen, why are you placing your hands on your face (I was coughing) etc etc.

Pearson thinks we are robots and can sit straight with moving or blinking or turning our heads for 4.30 hours. PMI should really consider reviewing these terms with Pearson.

I wasted 20-30 minutes on all these trivial issues, plus I lost focus every time the proctor interrupted. If the they have a doubt they should just ask us to show us the room on video and not interrupt every 20 minutes.
