Has anyone taken the new test that can provide advice?

Hi, community! Hope all is well. Happy New Years. I have recently taken the previous exam on 31 December 2020, and unfortunately did not pass. I have used Plural Sight and Kaplan to prepare for the exam, and still did not successfully pass. I have recently purchased 'Head First PMP: A Brain-Friendly Guide 4th Edition.' Does anyone have any advice on how to successfully prepare for the new exam? NOT looking for answers or anything. Just what I can add to my arsenals for studying for the new 2021 exam. Thoughts?

Today being the first day the new test is launched it might take a bit to start to get insight from those who have done it. But yes, I too am looking forward to hearing from those who go through it.

As I posted in a separate discussion thread in Certification Central, PMI is launching a free bridging online course starting mid-January to help you prepare for the new exam if your prior studying was focused on the previous one.

Kiron,
Do you know if we have access to free practice tests as well for being a member of PMI? Their website is not the best.

was keen to understanding the new format too, thought wonder how people prepare for exam for those as attending the exam from 2 Jan... since PMI claimed only 50% of the syllabus applicable from the existing 6th edition PMBok?!

Can you share where you found that 50% of syllabus changed?

I only saw that 50% of the questions will be related to agile/hybrid topics, and some of that will still be covered by PMBoK Guide ed6. The APG (Agile Practice Guide) also is a key resouce, it is bundled with PMBoK Guide ed. 6.

I studied the paper version of PMBOK 6th edition. Now I am working on simulated tests. I opened up my online version of 6th edition from PMI for easy access and it now seems to have an ADDITIONAL 167 pages after the last page of the original 6th edition titled Agile Practice Guide. Their contact center had advised there was NO content change for this exam however this appears to be incorrect.

Sorry my bad, yes i read from PMI website the 50% of the new exam questions will be from agile (and not 50% of the content from PMBok Ed6 will be the syllabus of the exam question coverage)

Erin -

there used to be a free practice exam available for the old version here: https://www.pmi.org/shop/p-/elearning/pmp%...tice-exam/16202

I've done a quick search and there's nothing similar launched yet for the new exam by PMI.
