CAPM Question format

Hi Everyone,

I've recently completed the PMI.org CAPM Project Management Basics course and I quite like the questioning format they had with quizzes and the practice exam. It tested you directly on the basic knowledge.

Has anyone taken this course, and is this the type of questioning I could expect on the CAPM exam?

Or, can I expect situational/problem solving questions? I'm going through a UDemy course and the quizzes/exams on this are solely situational where "you are the project manager of XYZ" instead of PMI's "which of the following are not T&T of Estimate Costs".

Any info would be great so I know types of questions to study for.

Thanks,

Jesse

Hi there,
I took the CAPM Exam this morning, and I can tell you that the questions on the exam are very different from the practice exam through the PM Basics Course. They are worded very differently, but generally follow the same concepts. There were even a couple of questions where you had to "drag and drop" to match the terms with their definitions, or which process they belonged to. I was hardly confident AT ALL in any of my answers, but in the end, I passed!

I will say, take as many practice exams as you can before taking the real thing - I took upwards of 30 practice exams. Really study the inputs, tools & techniques, and outputs, which takes up a lot of the exam. There also seemed to be a lot of questions related to agile, so study that too.

Good luck!
