Hi,
I am 8 year experienced project manager from Pharmaceutical industry, so far I've worked to manage and deliver R&D Product development projects and few SAP Implementation project (As a co-project manager).
Now after getting PMP from PMI I want to change my industry in same or relevant profile.
I don't have much knowledge that which role/profile will consider my experience and which industry will be best suited.

If anyone of you can guide me will help a lot.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Shubham Sharma

Hi Sergio, Im currently trying to switch from IT Finance sector to Pharma. Could you share the transferable skills that you had and the approach you followed in switching successfully sectors. I get some interviews but I'm dropped on the grounds of lacking the GxM and relevant regulations... Any advice on this, as I understand these are the first to learn the first months on the job.
Hi Evgenia,
I was wondering whether you managed to make the switch? I am currently trying to switch from IT to Pharma and trying wrap my head around how to tackle it?
Thanks.

Noemi Giursa well I had a few interviews with pharma companies. Although I never got a formal feedback expect the standard "there was someone better fitted for the position" I can say that in one position, the line manager told me it would take me 2 years (!) to learn their internal processes and protocols (just to note I finished my PhD in 3 years!! Come on, it cannot be harder that this!); some gave me the impression that the position was for someone who wanted to promote internally. I was successful with one application, which however I turned it down cause I felt it was a side-ways position rather than an up-wards for which Im currently looking. My lessons learned from this process is that you need to keep applying and hope that a. companies know what they are looking for, b. the position is not already promised to someone internally and c. you also like the company. Sometimes from the interview with the line manager, I felt that I did not fitted with the culture of the team or organisation. Hope it helps and good luck!
