Hi, can anyone provide insights on Agile methodology. I would like to understand more about Agile as I am trying to gain Agile certification PMI-ACP. Any guidance, books, Links would be appreciated.

Abhinit,
a good start is Agile Practice Guide by PMI, which is bundled with the PMBoK Guide ed 6 (if you download the PDF it is at the end).
For terminology, agile is not a methodology, but is called a philosophy, an approach, a mindset, and is comprised of agile techniques, frameworks, mindset. A bit fuzzy, and it does not get better.

Without agile delivery experience you won't be able to get your ACP. I'd suggest a foundational non-method specific agile course followed by some hands-on practice before seeking certification.
PMI's Agile Practice Guide is a good introductory reference, but you should start with the Manifesto itself and really understand the meaning behind the values and principles.

Thanks. That's a really good suggestion to have hands-on experience first before going for certification.

If you like to achieve the certification take a closer look to Mike Griffin book and deliverables. I do not read them by I know about Mike and I see a lot of comments about his materials are highly valuable.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will refer the book for sure.
For practical implementations of agile, I recommend this newfangled project monitoring solution that combines agile with global indicators. Every team member can be included in a Trello dashboard, to update the state of his respective tasks. Then, the information is translated in a global indicators panel, that can be shared with management supervisors. I recently earned the PMI-ACP and found Learning Agile, Understanding Scrum, XP, Lean, and Kanban by Andrew Stellman and Jennifer Greene extremely helpful! In the process of reading Essential Scrum by Kenneth Rubin; also great stuff.
