I have been thinking about preparing the PMP Exam for a while, however I was a bit discouraged by the confusion over the new exam, and the release of the new edition of PMBOK (now expected by the end of March?). There seems to be still doubts about how best to prepare the new exam and whether the new PMBOK is actually going to help or not, I am still debating whether it is actually a good time to start preparing the exam or I should wait to get a bit more clarity over content and resources?

Hi Ismael,
It is a very good time to start preparing .... Remember that the up coming newness doesn't alter the spirit of PM, begin with PMBok 6 Saving Changes...
I recommend Rita Mulcahy's certification prep, it's a good option to start acquiring PM Knowledge. Visit this link:

Hi Oliver, I too am wondering if I should study now or wait for the new 7th edition of the PMBOK. Looks like the estimated publish date is May 2021. I haven't submitted my application for the PMP exam yet, still researching.

I wouldn't use the release of the PMBOK Guide, 7th edition as the catalyst for preparing and writing the new exam. I'd recommend waiting till the late Spring or early Summer for PMP Prep resource providers to calibrate their materials based on feedback received from sufficient folks who have taken the new exam and then you'd be pretty safe relying on those materials to prepare.
