Do you agree that, given all the tools, Citizen Developers will add value to the organization?

If you allow people to spend their time doing the things they do best: making strategic decisions, doing creative things, bringing ideas to life using LCNC platforms. Will that activate the potential within all of them and add value to the organization?

Absolutely! I just found out about citizen development a few days ago. I was scrolling through Microsoft Apps, found a thing called PowerApps, and now I'm diving in headfirst to create applications that will only make our organization better and take us to the next level.

I had no clue citizen development was even a thing until I accidentally found PowerApps

Thanks for sharing this information on how the low-code/no-code platform has impacted your organization. This is a great endorsement.

You can progress in the journey with the PMI Citizen Development foundation course. It begins here at (www.pmi.org/citizendeveloper).

Yes, citizen development greatly adds value to organisations.

From my experience, I have seen that it is a great opportunity for organisations to respond to some of the obstacles associated with traditional software development.

Two main issues I have seen citizen development addressing immediately are; delayed solution deliveries due to the lack of resources and high costs of implementing new systems.

In the short and long term there are many benefits of enabling business users to make the most of the technologies available to them.

Empowering users who has the detailed knowledge of the business needs, to actually create the solutions themselves can increase productivity and result in innovative outcomes while reducing the IT workload.
