I'm surely the latest chapter member of PMI Cameroon chapter.
I haven't attended any chapter meeting yet but I just feel that I've hit a milestone. Kindly share with me your experience(s) with your chapter.

I joined the Frankfurt Chapter in Germany 1992. It was the 2nd Chapter outside US/Canada, the first was South Africa.

In 1998 I could not resist to become President (no joke), nobody else volunteered. With 2 co-volunteers we rebuild the Chapter, established some routines like bi-monthly meetings, a monthly newsletter (in english), a website, a sponsorship program, PMP Prep programs, etc. When I left the Chapter role end of 2005, membership had grown from 111 to 750, assets from basically zero to more than 100K Euro (not from membership fees).

All Board volunteers of the Chapter benefited from their investment by learning stuff they could hardly learn otherwise. Leading a Chapter is a sandbox for any entrepreneur, and leading a group of volunteers strengthens your servant leadership capability.

I am still a member and delighted that the Frankfurt Chapter merged with other German Chapters to become the PMI Germany Chapter with almost 4000 members end of last year.
I am quietly supporting one of the local groups of the Chapter to run their gatherings, now virtual.

Thanks Sir,
That's quite a great record.... I'm hoping to become really instrumental in my local chapter
