If the PMBOK 7 isn’t going to be released until March, then why stop allowing members to test against PMBOK 6 on Jan 2nd? I like many others Im sure, failed the test prior to the change, but could have continued to study and retake the test prior to the new release. I believe the old test should be reopened until the new PMBOK is available. Thanks

The new test is not based on the 7th edition. It is still based on the 6th but the exam questions and structures changes. However, PMBOK is not the only resource PMI recommends and even after the release of the 7th edition, it won’t be the sole source because the exam is mainly experience based.

The structure changes that are outlined in the PMBOK 7? If I am unable to learn the new structuring which the new test is based on, then why stop me from taking the old test based on the “old” processes until the new curriculum is available?

The structural changes which Rami is referring to is to the exam, not the changes between the Sixth and Seventh editions of the Guide.

Shifting away from the five process groups as domains in the ECO and having 50% exam content reflecting agile/hybrid approaches are the key changes, but those are not tied to the Seventh Edition of the PMBOK Guide.
