It is a fun read, and describes the workings of the organization that developed the most bleeding-edge technology of the time. The relevance to PM is that it shows the contrast between how projects are managed when all the work can be managed internally, and when the work is on contract to a large, bureaucratic, customer like the US government.
I'm an aerospace guy though, so it was particularly relevant to my field.
