PMI Membership Renewal

Hello,

Looking for some suggestion on renewal of my PMI membership. I have my PMP certification renewed till 2026 and so was wondering if I should really renew my PMI membership each year or wait till 2025 to do it?

I know there are additional benefits to the membership (get access to webinars, templates, blogs etc.) but is it worth spending $129 each year for it? Maybe it is, I am just not sure of the benefits outweigh the cons, which is mainly the cost.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks.

PMI does provide a lot of membership benefits including access to its resources such as the standards & practice guides, volunteering opportunities, professional publications and networking events.

However, you need to decide for yourself if your ROI is more than if you spent that $129 elsewhere.

Remember that in most professions, membership in an association is often expected, so no reason that project management should be any different.

Also remember that some of your dues to go towards PMI's giving back initiatives as well such as PMIEF and advocacy for the profession.

Thanks Kiron. Your are correct. Guess I have to assess if the ROI is more than if I spent the membership cost elsewhere. I do have plans to attain one more certification this year.

Appreciate your feedback.

I totally agree with Kiron's feedback - For me personally, being a PMI Member means much more than PDU's and certifications renewal. Its some sort of commitment to the profession.
