Why PfMP exam still adopt the 3rd version of standard issued in 2013?

The standard of Portfolio management has been updated to 4th edition, why the current PfMP exam still take the 3rd edition as reference? Saving Changes...
Until they hold a new Role Delineation Study and create a new Exam Content Outline (the current one is from 2013), there wouldn't be any major changes to the PfMP exam. My guess is that while this is in PMI's backlog, it is not a high priority given how few people have earned the certification since its launch.

Tks, Kiron. :) From another view, this will lower the value of the current PfMP certification as well. A lot should have changed in the past 8 years.

Interesting that you use the term "value". What do you see as the value of that particular certification as I haven't seen that many (if any) job postings reference it?

Honestly, Kiron, I haven't seen many PM certifications listed in job postings beyond the PMP and once in a blue moon the PMI-ACP.
That said, my company does encourage project managers who manage large programs to go for the PgMP and has listed it at least internally for some senior roles.
I've never seen the PfMP listed anywhere - there's value in having it for certain but it's not reached the "must have to be considered for the role" area and probably won't until more people have it.

I agree with Kiron in terms of PMI’s roadmap in refreshing the exams and in one of the latest videos from Sunil, he mentioned they will be working on updating the PgMP and PfMP.
As for value, it all depends what you do and where you work. In Canada, I haven’t seen many job posting with PgMP or PfMP but in the Middle East, I’ve seen a lot of those job posting especially for PgMP being an asset.

I have the similar perspective with Rami. The process of learning PgMP or PfMP can fill the knowledge section under OPM structure,which are surely useful and of value. As for value of certification, mainly depend on where we will use it.
