I am totally agree with Thomas, depend on the organizational context, i will go with project manager as this level can be care taker in each level. Saving Changes...
A rose by any other name, Eduard - I've worked in shops where the term PM was used and the role and responsibilities were closer to that of a project administrator. Meanwhile, I've known project analysts who have held the full fledged responsibilities of a PM.
I'm not a fan of the term "master" applied to ANY role or title as:
1. It is misogynistic
2. In the context of project delivery, it implies mastery over something which one can never truly master given the unique context influencing each project

Thank you for your answers. Project Master? Wow, I hope that this terminology will not stick. It evoques a mix of scrum master + project manager.
If a manager is a person who does things right and a leader a person who does the right things, I am inclined to believe that the most suitable term should be a combination of manager + leader. A new neologism for PMI? :-)

Hi Eduard,
Generally, post titles or nomenclatures varies from one organization to another. A project leader in company A is a project director in B and etc... Interestingly enough the holders of this post do the same thing across the board Saving Changes...
