I have held the title of Project Manager in the past for about a year and a half, but had been managing projects for much longer than that, just without the title. This was a small company, so we wore many hats.
Does anyone know if the experience that was obtained without the PM title would still count toward the required hours to sit the PMP exam? This is not very clear to me.

As long as your job description included actual project management activities that you’ve actually did on a daily basis then it doesn’t matter what your title was and this experience qualifies. Saving Changes...

Your project management experience is what counts and not the title... Personally, I've never had the PM title in all my job postings but my experience qualified me for the exams Saving Changes...
