There is no such thing as "hybrid agile". What people often mean when they talk about a hybrid approach is that they want to adapt one of the popular frameworks in some way, for example they modify the Scrum framework or only use it for some aspects of their project. That doesn't necessarily make them more or less "agile" however. Agility is not defined by any particular framework. Saving Changes...

Hybrid agile does not exists. Agile is an approach that can be used with any life cycle: sequential, waterfall, iterative, incremental, iterative-incremental, V, etc, etc. The problem is some people do not understand that. So, what you have to do is to select the life cycle that best fit for your current situation thinking in the future situation to reach and mainly based on solution characteristics. But Agile is totally independent of the life cycle. Saving Changes...
There are three common interpretations of hybrid agile and as Sergio has indicated, the context of your projects will dictate which approach makes the most sense:
1. Certain work packages are delivered end-to-end in an adaptive manner whereas others follow a predictive approach.
2. The whole scope is delivered in a hybrid manner - for example, initial requirements and planning are done in a predictive manner, construction/development in an adaptive manner, and verification/validation/transition in a predictive manner.
3. A single life cycle approach is picked, but practices from agile and non-agile toolkits are combined.
Hybrid approach is applied to projects, not for agile. Hybrid projects get benefit of agile and cascade frameworks.
Planview is a good option to execute hybrid control of projects, since this software has the possibility of schedule tasks in cascade, and also introduces agile boards.
For only agile implementation, I recommend
a newfangled project monitoring solution, that combines agile with global indicators. Every team member can be included in a Trello dashboard, to update the state of his respective tasks. Then, the information is translated into a global indicators panel, that can be shared with management supervisors. Hybrid projects are compatible with any industry and team of any size. Typically blending of the project lifecycle happens at the beginning of the project and responsibility needs to be clearly defined.
The hybrid manifesto defines the method as follows:
Hybrid Project Management combines the formal and Agile methods to create a new project management method. Hybrid employs the thoroughness of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with speed and lean benefits of Agile for a new project management method which is both detailed and fast. Saving Changes...
