Challenge: Feedback Sessions

Do you regularly check in with your team/coach/SM/PO/leadership, etc., to ask for constructive feedback?

We can assume we're providing what is needed, that we are not missing anything, but nothing validates it more than simply asking and having a conversation.

Do you have regular 360 feedback sessions? If not, embrace the uncomfortable feeling and schedule away!

How did it go? What kind of impact did it have?

Hello Community! Just a little nudge on the topic. Are you proactively opening the dialogue to ensure what is being provided is what is needed?

If so, how are you doing it?
If not, what has held you up?

Looking forward to hear from others.

Drew,
I've realized that providing and accepting feedback it depends on the organization and cultural differences matter.
The first year working in the company that I'm now, I sent and email asking for feedback, or a 1:1 session to help me to improve, kind of a 360 (as I looked at different levels). Nobody understood why I was doing that.

Year, after year, I challenge people to provide me feedback or I ask them "Do you want my constructive feedback?"
And here again, I need to add the word "constructive" as some people still things that I have "bad comments" about their performance.
