In the same way that you did when you have to manage a project with people that is distributed in different places inside your organization or outside your organization. Nothing new below the sun, except the point that you will not have possibility to make physical contact with some of them for example when you go to take a cup of coffee or a glass of water.

some examples how you can leverage the opportunities created by the Corona disruption. There are many more.

- virtual teaming allows you to creatively try out new techniques to establish trust and foster collaboration

- everybody being in danger physically allows you to utilize the need for respect and new openness for increasing project and team results

- customer being more forgiving if milestones slip allows you to nevertheless surprise them by being punctual

- not having to commute gives time back for your life

Do not suffer, enjoy. Do not fear, leverage.

Try to maintain a normal schedule. The downside to working from home is that it is easy to work too much. I often find myself working a lot later than I expected because I'm more accessible with a home office than I was when at our offices. If you can disconnect from work at the end of your day (not always possible in some jobs) it can result in a lot less disruption to your personal life.

While you should always lead with empathy, double-down on this given the personal and professional challenges people are facing. Spend more effort looking at ways for people to feel connected to reduce the sense of isolation. Make sure you have a Plan B if there are unplanned staffing shortages or if budgets get slashed.

Daily Standup call for all the team, even if You don't run agile is very helpful.
Kinda heartbeat and sync of all project operations.

Agree With Sergio, remote working is really not something new, the only exception Corona brought to the table is the physical contact aspect. What I have found is that now that you CANNOT whereas previously you could but did not seem to make people very nervous and confused. Use proper collaboration tools (which you should have done pre-covid) and ensure that communication channels are open (as they should have been pre-covid)

I see where one young boy has just passed 500 hours sitting in a treetop. There is a good deal of discussion as to what to do with a civilization that produces prodigies like that. Wouldn't it be a good idea to take his ladder away from him and leave him up there?
