Hello, I passed the exam on January 24th during the pilot phase. Quite happy of this achievement.
The exam was typical of PMI's other exams : «You're the PM, what do you do in situation XYZ? ». I think the preparation I did in December and earlier in January to pass PSMI and PSPOI helped me with this exam more than PMI's e-course. The exam was multiple choice questions.
The course was not what I expected. During the first few 'lessons’, I thought I was in a predictive world...not agile or hybrid. The course's Q&A were often subjective and quite confusing to say the least. Such as 5-6 statements you have to put in categories with feedback saying : needs work, on track, super! But no way of knowing what ARE the RIGHT answers.
The course offered no reference to any PMI standards or practice guides. That's without some of the reference material dating back sometimes to 1980!
Hopefully, the feedback PMI got during the pilot test helped fix those pain points.
The baseline (opps, such a play on words here!) is that an understanding of the concepts behind Agile and Srum is essential to succeed in this exam.
