No Jimmy - it's a course, not a certification. I'm assuming that PMI might eventually have a set of credentials related to CD, but not yet...

Hello Jimmy - Thanks for posting your inquiry! We encourage you to share your Citizen Developer Foundation completion certificate with your network! However, completion of the introductory Citizen Developer Foundation is not a formal credential or certification. The next course in the Citizen Developer journey, Practitioner, will be launching in May. This a 5-hour course with a 1-hour exam. Upon passing the exam, you will earn a micro-credential and badge that can be shared. If you haven’t already, you can sign-up to the Citizen Developer email list at www.pmi.org/citizendeveloper to be notified as soon as Practitioner launches. Many thanks!

Hi Kimberley,

Is the Citizen Developer Foundation course a prerequisite to be able to do the Practitioner certificate? Or would I be able to do the Practitioner course without it? Thank you for your response.

Kind regards,

Hi Kimberley-

No, the Citizen Developer Foundation course is not a mandatory prerequisite for the Practitioner certificate. However, if an individual is new to the concept of citizen development and low-code/no-code, he/she may find it useful to have the introduction provided by Foundation first. I hope this helps!

Hello @Kimberly, I received this email (text below) from CD but no update on the status of the exam link. Since the 25th is this coming Sunday, I was wondering if there was any update to this. Thank you!

"We noticed that you did not complete all steps of the Citizen Developer Practitioner pilot test.

Due to a technical issue with access to the exam we are extending the pilot deadline to all testers until 25th April. We would be hugely appreciate if you could complete all steps of this pilot before this deadline. You will still receive 10 PDU’s your course, exam and surveys are ALL completed by 25th April (6 PDUs thereafter).

The exam issue is yet to be resolved, however, our IT team are actively working on its resolution. We will notify you as soon as the exam link is actively working."

Hello Elizabeth -

Please note that as of yet the issue still persists but the team have identified the specific problem. We are waiting on an update and will be issuing communications to the pilot testers once the pilot test is back up and running. Many thanks for your patience and apologies for this inconvenience!
