I have led projects for many years, but I only have pictures to show the finished product. I never considered the possibility I would be in the position I'm in now.
Does any of that work count towards certification? Saving Changes...

Just to understand, are you asking this because you are trying to fill the certification documents to be accpted for the exam?

I am studying now. Since I do not have a 4-year degree, the requirement is 60 months. I have over 60 months, but they are not documented as traditional projects would be.
As of now I am focusing on CAPM, but would like to know if PMP is an option.

Perhaps I will say something you done but my recommendation is reading and understanding the certification handbook mainly for the way that projects have to be declared. The only way that the PMI will request some type of justification from your side is if you enter in the audit process of your application submition. For that reason it is very important to take into account that when you name a person as a reference in your process you have to be able to reach that person, just in case you have to participate in the audit process.

You are welcome. And as you know you can contact PMI´s Customer Care. In the past, they answer very quickly. I do not know today due to the current situation.

PMP application audits do sometimes require providing supporting evidence beyond just a chat with the references you've provided so hopefully you have some documentation which could substantiate the projects you are putting forward in your applications.

I would like to add two besides what my fellow colleagues mentioned:
1)You don’t need to be working as a project manager, title wise, in order for your experience to count. As long as you were doing PM activities, then that’s what matter.
2) If you were audited, you need references letters from your references, but in case someone if not anymore available, anyone (like your current manager or colleague) who can verify your experience can sign your references letter.
Hope this helps.

Thank you all. This is very helpful. I do have some documentation and clients and colleagues that would verify. So this is all a great start.
