Is a degree required for PM jobs if I have experience?

I have worked for DaVita for 20 years (as a PM for 3), but I have no degree. I love my job, but if I decide to leave, will I be able to get another PM position w/o a degree?

I graduated with a Business Marketing degree, which is so far away from where my career ended up it’s funny. If you love PM work, your experience you can demonstrate in your resume and subsequently get relevant certifications will show potential employeers you have what they are looking for. I have also seen many people evolve to a PM through longevity within a particular company. Some to watch for, some of those people do not fully comprehend how truly valuable they are as they grew to be a solid PM. Be mindful of your value equity (value you bring compared to compensation).

Agree with comments posted before. Also to keep in mind many PM are graduated in a domain not anymore in relation to their core expertise. All is about building your brand, network, storytelling (including on being active in social networks). I am convinced your experience has more value than a degree. Make that your strength! Good luck
