Certifications like PMP, Scrum Master or LSS are academic requirements often demanded by the employer (LSS and the Scrum manifesto were both created back in 2001).
Do you believe that DASM and alike will be specifically demanded in the future? How long will it take to become widely known (and valued)? How do you envision its evolution in the VUCA world we live in? Saving Changes...

If the PMI push for them then is a good chance for that. The problem, in my personal opinion, if the amount of different certifications in DA. I think it has to be reviewed and simplified. Saving Changes...

If the market moves strongly enough in that direction, then it will eventually make its way into job requirements, however, I don't foresee it happening anytime in the near future. Saving Changes...
Even though I'm a strong advocate of DA, even with the clout of PMI's marketing power behind them, they are fighting an uphill mind share battle against deeply entrenched incumbents such as the CSM and SAFe.
Savvy hiring managers will ask for those credentials, but those are few and far between.

I agree Kiron. This uphill mind share battle is a tough one.Take for example the PMI-ACP, it’s been there for a while now, yet, I rarely see it demanded by employers. I see PSM, CSM, PMP, SAFe, and recently PgMP in job opening mentioned as educational assets.
However, that said, I believe there is a huge market for DA, but it might take sometime before this bubble bursts and comes to fruition.

Thank you all for your insights. I feel that PMI needs to undergo a value proposition exercise and connect that to certifications. For example, what is the additional value of DASM with respect to ACP, or vice-versa? Do they complement each other? Does their value offering differ? It is important to create clarity before throwing out more certifications and micro-credentials, in my view. Saving Changes...
I'd agree that it is a little vague when you look at the ACP relative to the DASM and DASSM. The DASM is intended to compete directly with the CSM, PSM and similar low/no experience certs.
The ACP is for practitioners which means it doesn't have to be someone in a leadership role. The DASSM is aimed specifically at those in leadership roles.
The DAC is for folks who will coach at the team or team of teams level OR for those who will be part of an agile transformation.
The DAVSC is for those who will be acting as the primary catalyst for an agile transformation.
Hope that helps and doesn't muddy the waters further!

This is great feedback but for the DASSM, they unfortunately, waived the requirement for the Agile Leadership Role.

It is still referenced "Two years of experience working in an agile team, ideally in a leadership role such as Disciplined Agile scrum master, scrum master, product owner, or architecture owner.", but right now they aren't verifying eligibility for it - I'd expect that will change over the course of 2021...

Thanks - I know it is still referenced but as you said, without any actual verification against applicants which means that many could have this not checked and yet still be DASSM.
