IS PMI-ACP for SOFTWARE AND IT industry or can this certification be useful for non-IT Projects and team also . What is its benefits for non-IT professionals?

IS PMI-ACP for SOFTWARE AND IT industry or can this certification be useful for non-IT Projects and the team also. What are its benefits for non-IT professionals?

I have heard a lot about PMI-ACP and want to do that. but a few people told me that as I come from the NON-IT field, it is of not so importance and value for me.I need guidance as I want to be future-ready and increase my acceptability across the domains.

PMI-ACP is suitable for any individual who works in Agile and wishes to learn more about Agile. Agile is not limited to IT.

I did the PMI-ACP and I come from Structural Engineering / Construction backgrounds.

Thanks a lot Rami. What is the prospect of PMI-ACP in Canada for non-IT background people and what kind of jobs require/prefer this certification for non-IT/non-software people?

Unfortunately PMI-ACP is just for software. When you read the study materials and things like the Agile component inside the PMBOK you will find it. Unfortunately this is the orientation PMI followed. Perhaps something will change now that PMI have include DA inside its set of approaches. But Agile is not for software. Agile was born outside the software field in 1990 to find an alternative to Lean mainly in the manufacture domain. Time after (almost in paralllel) the software domain take the concept and implement it more closely to Lean in the beginning. So, I am PMI-ACP and I have used Agile for creating software and non software solutions from the time where Agile was "invented" up to date.

PMI-ACP is ideal for software development and IT projects because they are based often in agile orientation, but it doesn't mean that this approach can't be applied to other industries. A study of the type of work, products, and organization culture, may give an orientation to choose between agile, hybrid or cascade approaches.
