Good evening all,

Recently I have been given an opportunity to head a outreach project in my local PMI chapter. The specific industry that I am focusing on is the construction industry. One of the first things I want to do is set up a community of practice (CoP) in my local chapter that is specifically geared towards the construction industry.

Im looking for feedback regarding any experiences contributors on this forum may have had with regards to similar endeavors & what kind of experience you had with the CoP. What did you like? What didn't meet your expectations, & what would you have liked to have seen or experienced if you participated in the CoP in your local chapter?

Respectfully,
-Carl S.

Hi Carl

ask the Singapore Chapter.

And expect a PMI announcement about construction PM standard, certification and courses.

Carl, that’s a good initiative. I come from the construction industry as well but here in our local chapter we don’t have a CoP for this so maybe you can share your lessons learned with us as you go.
