Question Regarding New Curriculum

Hi. I am currently completing a PMP Prep Course under an ATP(About 80% Done), and want to sit for the exam in July.

During this course, we were provided with a 404 page Document titled 'PMI Authorized PMP Exam Prep', and all our quizzes and midterm were based on that document solely.

What I'd like to know is, is that really it? Can I completely ignore PMBOk 6 and Agile Practice Guide if I want to pass the exam?

Another thing that surprised me is that almost all our questions were pretty straightforward (Lines directly copied from the document), and not a single one was situational or scenario-based; which from the forum seems does not reflect the real exam at all.

If that is the case, where can I get proper question banks/simulators based on the current curriculum? From what I have seen, almost all sources are still using PMBOK 6.

ATP often uses its own study material, that is the 404 Page document you mentioned. This material should be based on PMBOK 6. You have time to check the PMBOK 6 and Agile Practice Guide until July (review it and focus on themes that don't appear in your PMP prep course document), and also practice with a good simulator. I recommend Rita Mulcahy's simulator. Visit this link: https://rmcls.com/about/rita-mulcahy

Asif -

Many questions to answer here :-)

- The PMBOK Guide, Sixth Edition is still one of the references for those preparing for the exam, but not the sole source. And no, you should not ignore those other references - at a minimum, skim over them.
- Yes, the mastery questions are directly tied to the content in the prep guide but I would certainly recommend buying one or two practice exams from a reputable source

Hey Asif,
if you have taken your prep course with an Authorized Training Provider (ATP) company, and they have provided you with the book "PMI Authorized PMP Exam Prep", that book usually comes as a ("digital plus print" version), that means with an access key to http://pmi.llochoice.com/ where you can find some sample questions.

I've purchased a few mock exams and Q&As, from different training suppliers, over the years. None of them come close to the situational questions used in the exams.
