A simple way to do this would be to have an activity from the spawning process connect to a process shape. In tools like Visio, you could have that process shape automatically open the process map for the subsidiary process.

Thanks Kiron, can the initiated 2 processes connect to 1 end?

Yes. When multiple groups provide input to a single deliverable, that is exactly what happens:
1) PM kicks-off estimating process
2) Sub-teams develop estimates (multiple consecutive activities)
3) PM rolls up inputs into a single estimate
Some tools use a shape like a small circle to connect the lines where outputs split or inputs merge, while other tools are smarter in how they manage the lines in a flow chart or network diagram.

Generally, a process is represented in a rectangular shape. A process that will initiate two processes may be represented by a chain of process 1 in a rectangle, with two arrows coming out of it, and pointing to two rectangles, corresponding to processes 2 and 3.

Beyond that my "Discussionmates" have answered your question above, just for trying to add something, take a look to BPMN notation which is simple and you have lot of free tools outside there. You can find it inside bpmn.org with lot of examples in there.
