Hi Everyone!

I recently passed my PMP Exam with above Target in all the three Domains.

This was one heck of a task, which I am going to describe you in detail, so hold on to your nerves Guys.

Summary from my expereinces:

1. Have a realisitc date in your mind and book an Exam slot. This is kind of committing yourself. Lot of PMP Aspirants unfortunately just prepare without booking an Exam and never end up taking the Exam.

2. Know the Examination Content of PMP Exam, refer to ECO from PMI. You can only start to prepare if you know what to prepare for.

3. Share your aspirations with your Family and Friends and ask them to support you.

4. Refer different books, follow people/content creators I mentioned below to be present in the game.

As I started my journey to earn the PMP Certification begining this year, there were lot of unknown Risks which had to be taken care of e.g. The new Exam pattern has changed and there was not much information readily available.

The first step logically which I did was to search in google about PMP Certification process.

Project Management Institute (PMI) host relevant and current information on how to obtain different certifications on their website. I downloaded Examination Content Outline (ECO) for the syllabus content for the Exam and Project Management Professional Hanbook to inform myself about the procedures to apply for the Exam.

I started simple with Youtube videos and sessions from Mr. Cornelius Fichtner, where he provided great insights about the changed Exam pattern and tips to prepapre for the Exam. Few others content creators like Andrew Ramdayal and Nilotpal Ray helped me in great detail.

Apart from this I studied these Books and used the following Material for preparing for the Exam:

1. PMBOK Guide 6th Edition
2. Agile Practice Guide
3. Kim Heldmann PMP Exam Study Guide 10th Edition
4. Andrew Ramdayal YouTube Videos
5. Nilotpal Ray YouTube Videos
6. PM PrepCast Simulator (after I was confident of testing my Knowledge and taking the Mocks)

I guess it is important for all the PMP Aspirants to analyze their mistakes and review the Lessons Learned to close the knowledge gaps while preparing to take the Exam.

Please review your answers and mark your notes throughout the whole learning process.

Wish you guys good luck!

Regards
Arshad

Great to hear that Mr. Arshad. Currently, I am preparing by studying from Rita Mulcahys PMP prep guide 10th ed. I feel this guide is great and has lots of practice questions as well.

Thank you for sharing your experience Arshad. I totally agree with your feedback. This is one of the toughest exams one can prepare. You got to be mentally and physically ready to do this. I will share my experience shortly. Congratulations once again.
I’m preparing for 2nd attempt to take the PMP exam and I need to be fully prepared for it. As I was checking the exam prototypes I got so confused and didn’t know how to solve these graphs? Any suggestions would be very helpful for me.
