PMI PDF passwords

I recently received a notification that my PMI password has been compromised, and I need to change it.

This brings up an old issue, which I've never found a resolution. The documents I download from PMI (i.e. PMBOK) are locked with my PMI password. They will continue to be locked with my old password, which means I have to keep track of which password I used when I downloaded each of these files.

Does anyone know an easy way to update the passwords on these PMI files? I would like to keep them on the same password so I can continue to reference them.

I've read that there are different ways to change PDF passwords on Mac and mobile devices, but it might be easier to re-download them with the new password.

Unfortunately I personally didn’t find a way other than re-downloading the documents again if they are available. If not, the. you have to remember your passwords which I personally did write down so I don’t forget which is what.

If removing the password altogether is an option for you (instead of changing it), then there's an easy solution for that.

Open your PDF, go to File Print.
Change the printer name to Microsoft Print to PDF, then click Print.
You will be prompted to enter a name and download location of the new PDF.

The new file will not be password protected.
