I'm new at project management universal and would like to discuss some points as bellow from project managers prospection and point of view:

1) do you recommend me to take the CAPM certification and why?
2) what are the best studying resources to use for preparing to the exam (links, web pages, PDF... etc)
3) it is well spread to see such a job title " project manager required ", on the other hand it is a bit rare to find such a job vacancy stating " project officer required, fresh graduates ", at this point of view does the CAPM useful to gain such a job in project management industry and how

CAPM is a good first step to have a head start in the project management in terms of knowledge.

Certifications in general are merely a proof that someone has deep knowledge about a certain topic but not a proof that someone is capable to actually do the job so CAPM or any other certifications wouldn't secure a job for you but will be an asset in that they might put you ahead of the line from others.

As for resources, of course you need the PMBOK and I suggest you look at PM PrepCast, they have some good courses and simulation exams.

Hope this helps.

I used the Rita McCauley CAPM book when I did mine. The CAPM was a good first step for me since I didnt have enough experience to sit for the PMP. I think it did help me get in the door at my last position since it proved that I was at least familiar with PMI and industry standards.
